yesterday, our godfather, MWO Errol Sanneth left us in the hands of our new ISM, MWO Jacky. He treats us, the RPs, to whatever we wanted to eat at SPEC Mess. after we ate, he talked and laughed with us.
he shared us a story about a senior sargeant on how he felt about MWO Errol during his first enlistment. on the paper he said,
"my world collapsed, knowing that this fierce man (MWO Errol) is in charge and i am under him. the first time i am here, i accidentally, slept on the couch and he stepped out of the room, and fucked me upside down.
but, several months, i was asked to follow him to SISPEC and waited for him all day till evening. he was too busy and he seems to have forgotten that i havent eat the whole day. so he went to the cookhouse and asked the aunties down there, to pack whatever that is left for the day and gave it to me.
care for soldiers. one of the 7 core values we are taught when we are enlisted during BMT. i never knew and came across a person liked you. you are MWO Errol and MWO Errol is everything in ITI. without you, i guess, the guardroom will fall."
then MWO Errol said, we RPs are the best there is around the camp. he will never let us down and not let anyone bully us. he told us to be positive in our work and everything will be go smoothly. to expect tremors and overcome it with ease.
i realised theres sadness in everyone eyes. who would not have felt the sadness for he has helped us alot. and he treats us like his sons. i looked up to him every now and then. my inspiration.
and i will never remember what the last words he said.
"Dont ever let it come to my ears that the guardroom standards have dropped for if thats the case, I have failed to do my duty as an ISM when I was around.
Touch your heart before you do anything. Be positive and ORD will come naturally to you. 225 cant afford to collapse.."
